Located at the edge of the Alps, Ehenbichl, which has a population of 651, lies in the holiday region of Reutte, the entrance to Tirol. This romantic, long-stretched village is set at the foot of the Schlossberg mountain below the ruined castle of Ehrenberg. It is the ideal resort for a quiet, relaxing and adventurous vacation with the whole family.
First records of Ehenbichl date back to the year 1404. A fresco on a farmhouse reminds of the oldest bridge crossing the Lech river, which once connected Ehenbichl and the neighboring village of Höfen. Today a new footbridge from Ehenbichl to Höfen also serves as a shortcut to the lower terminal of the Reutte mountain railways.
