Thanks to its location close to the German border Pinswang is the ideal base for excursions to the Bavarian Kings´ Castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the villages of Oberammergau and Mittenwald, which are famous for its old wood carving tradition, are just a stone´s throw away.
The monastery of Ettal, the Olympic city of Innsbruck and Elbigenalp with its world famous wood carving school are also within easy reach. Fern pass, Arlberg pass and Flexen pass are also unforgettable destinations for excursions.
