Vils is located at the elevation of 828m, embedded in the stunning mountains and surrounded by the picturesque Vilseck and Falkenstein ruins.
Vils is a perfect starting point for relaxing hikes, mountain adventures, endless walking tours or excursions to the nearby Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau royal castles. Swimming pleasures are guaranteed in the summer thanks to Alatsee lake. Further recreation facilities include horseback riding, tennis, asphalt curling and a lot more!
In winter locals and guests can choose from a wide range of sports and activities: cross country skiing between Pfronten and Reutte, winter hiking within the entire region, curling on ice, skiing down the family-friendly slopes or riding in a horse-drawn carriage across winter wonderlands.
