A museum with a difference: "In the footsteps of a knight" Open daily from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
In the new museum you will get to know everything you've always wanted to know about the Middle Ages and you can try out a lot for yourself: try on a suit of armour, conquer the castle with a battering ram, and dine just as the knights did while you enjoy a fashion show. Travel through Europe along the roads of the 14th century, watch a jousting tournament and suffer with the young couple because of their impossible love. What was life like for the knights on a crusade? 15 different rooms will show all you ever wanted to know - even the plague (the Black Death) is mentioned. Learn what the most important commodities were. Your kids shouldn't miss 'Knight Rüdiger', a special guide dressed in armour, just for children.
From Roman times until today many people have used the road past the Ehrenberg castle as the main axis between north and south. The road was the reason for all structural measures at Ehrenberg. The concept of the museum links the road's history with the history of Ehrenberg.
