Located high above the Reutte valley basin, it is a popular destination for hikers, families and food lovers. Since summer 2026, the mountain hut has been run by Tina and her team.

Cows, Cheese & Authentic Craftsmanship

Around 80 cattle and 20 dairy cows are looked after at the Musauer Alm Mountain Hut.

The fresh milk is processed directly on site and turned into high-quality cheese specialities.

Enjoy Regional Cuisine

The Musauer Alm Mountain Hut stands for traditional alpine farming and honest, homemade cuisine. Guests can look forward to regional delicacies, freshly prepared dishes and, of course, the mountain hut’s own alpine cheese.

A special highlight is the Friday breakfast:

Every Friday from 7:30 to 9:30 am, the generous breakfast buffet invites you to start the day in a relaxed way surrounded by the Tyrolean mountains.

Staying Overnight at the Mountain Hut

Anyone who would like to extend their alpine experience can also stay overnight at the Musauer Alm Mountain Hut – either in cosy rooms or in a traditional shared dormitory. This turns a day trip into a genuine nature experience in the heart of the Reutte Nature Park Region.

The early morning is especially rewarding: sunrise in the peaceful mountain landscape makes a stay up at the mountain hut truly special.

The Hike

The trail to the Musauer Alm Mountain Hut leads through beautiful mountain scenery, past streams and offers wonderful views of Musau and the Lech along the way. It is perfect for a relaxed family hike or as a stop on a longer tour.
