Experience Ehrenberg Castle without barriers Inclined elevators

In order to make the view and the history of Ehrenberg tangible for everyone, it was decided to build an inclined elevator in Ehrenberg. With the construction of the inclined elevator, the approx. 110 m height difference between the visitor center and the stop at the Hornwerk will be overcome in only approx. 2.5 minutes.

From the Berg/Hornwerk stop, a flat paved path leads directly to the exhibition in the Hornwerk and to the portal of the spectacular highline179 suspension bridge. This means that it is also possible for people with limited mobility and older people to visit these two attractions in Castle World Ehrenberg. The walk to the Ehrenberg ruins with their unique view of the Reutten valley basin can also be shortened considerably by the inclined elevator.

With the construction of another new inclined elevator, the tourist development of the historic castle ensemble of Ehrenberg has reached its current high point. With the Top Liner, the Schlosskopf panoramic mountain will be further developed and upgraded.

In earlier times, one thing was required of a fortress in the first place: it had to be "impregnable". In the 21st century, state-of-the-art technology is now being used to make a once impregnable fortification easily accessible to all visitors. With the Top Liner, the Schlosskopf Fortress can be reached in just a few minutes. Already during the ride in the panoramic cabin, a great view of the ruins of Ehrenberg Castle below and the Ehrenberger Klause opens up. Once at the top, at the highest point in the Ehrenberg castle world, you can then enjoy a spectacular all-round view over the Reutte basin, into the Lechtal and the Zwischentoren in the direction of the Fernpass. The valley station of the Top Liner is right next to the mountain station of the existing Ehrenberg Liner. The inclined elevator II overcomes a height difference of almost 190 meters and can transport up to 50 people "up to the top" at the same time.
