Reutte Nature Park Region Vacation barrier-free

For people with physical disabilities, the Reutte Nature Park Region offers a large number of excursion destinations suitable for the disabled, Stroller-suitable walking paths and a corresponding infrastructure.

barrier-free Walking and hiking trails

Even at over 1,700m in the Hahnenkamm mountain world, there are suitable offers - such as the Alpine Rose Trail between Höfener Alm and Lechaschauer Alm. This was called by the expert engineer Bernhard P. Gruber at its first inspection in June 2022 even as a "pioneer project in the creation of barrier-free hiking trails in the alpine area". The top of the dam of the mountain lake, as well as the Alpine Garden Tyrol are also accessible barrier-free.

In addition, you will find some walking and hiking trails in the Reutte Nature Park Region, which can be easily managed with strollers.

Here you will find a selection of stroller-friendly walking paths:

Accessible Excursion Destinations

However, work on expanding the existing offer is not only ongoing in Bergwelt Hahnenkamm. Many other highlights in the region are also barrier-free and invite visitors. The new themed trail at Schlosskopf, for example, provides access to all historical fortress elements, which are explained by information panels, and makes it possible for people with limited mobility to experience the fortress in the Ehrenberg Castle World. The difference in altitude from the Ehrenberger Klause can be overcome comfortably and also barrier-free with the two inclined elevators Ehrenberg Liner and Top Liner. And those looking for a special "view with a kick" can also reach the spectacular 406m long pedestrian suspension bridge highline179 completely barrier-free.

Parking with disabled pass

There are several free disabled parking spaces in the Reutte Nature Park Region. If these parking spaces are occupied, the car may also be parked in the short parking zone without time restriction. According to paragraph § 29b in the STVO, it is important to place the disabled person's ID card clearly visible in the windshield or to show it on demand when stopping the vehicle.

General information about parking with a disabled person's permit can be found here.

Finding clean, public, and accessible toilets can be a challenge. You will find them at the following locations in the Reutte Nature Park Region.
