Hahnenkamm Hiking area

An 8-person monocable gondola takes you from Höfen (930m) in ten minutes to the top station (1,742 m) on the Hahnenkamm in the area of the Höfener Alm. There you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view over the valley basin of Reutte and the mountains of the Lechtal and Allgäu Alps and the Wetterstein massif with the Zugspitze.

The mountain station, where you will also find a panoramic restaurant with a large sun terrace, is the ideal starting point for a variety of alpine mountain hikes. Also older vacation guests and families with children have the possibility to walk safely and without effort to the most beautiful alpine pastures: the nearby managed high alpine pastures (Höfener Alm, Schneetal Alm, Lechaschauer Alm and Gehrenalm) can be reached easily. The crossings to the Tannheimer Tal, to the Gimpelhütte and to the Raintal are popular day hikes.

Another attraction is the Alpine barefoot hiking trail, which is only 2 minutes away from the mountain station. On a path length of 1.2 km, 18 stations entice you to relax and feel good. Health for the barefoot hikers and fun for the children.

Whether old or young, the experience of all these mountain experiences are made easy by the Reutten cable cars!
