Inclined elevator Ehrenberg Liner

In order to make the view and the history of Ehrenberg tangible for everyone, it was decided to build an inclined elevator in Ehrenberg. With the construction of the inclined elevator, the approx. 110 m height difference between the visitor center and the stop at the Hornwerk will be overcome in only approx. 2.5 minutes.

From the Berg/Hornwerk stop, a flat paved path leads directly to the exhibition in the Hornwerk and to the portal of the spectacular highline179 suspension bridge. This means that it is also possible for people with limited mobility and older people to visit these two attractions in Castle World Ehrenberg. The walk to the Ehrenberg ruins with their unique view of the Reutten valley basin can also be shortened considerably by the inclined elevator.

The notice of approval for the construction of the Ehrenberg inclined elevator was handed over on 08 June 2018. The construction project was started on 01 August 2018 and the inclined elevator can be used by visitors since 12 April 2019.
