Aiming High and Much Further – Adventures in the Mountains of the Nature Park Region of Reutte
The rustling of the wind in the fir trees and deciduous trees, in the grasses of the lush mountain meadows and along the mountain ranges. The light-hearted whoops of the hiking groups when they reach the cross on the summit of the mountains. The exclamations when marvelling at the turquoise blue lakes and the murmuring of the wild Lech river. Whether you are a hiker or a climber - the Lechtal and Allgäuer Alps offer you ideal conditions. The Nature Park Region of Reutte offers active holidaymakers and mountain enthusiasts everything their hearts desire! The mountain hiker can choose from 17 mountain huts on the trail network of over 400 kilometres.
Rock climbers and adventure seekers can explore the surroundings on well secured climbing routes. The limestone climbing areas known as the ‘Kraftwerkswand‘ as well as the ‘Weisswand’ with a view of crystal clear mountain lakes and imposing mountain peaks promise a really special climbing experience. But adventures are also to be had on a circular hike to the ‘Stuibenfällen‘ waterfalls. You can also experience the family-friendly circular hike in a different way: those who are particularly brave can try out canyoning. If the weather decides not to cooperate, enthusiastic climbers both big and small need not abstain from their favourite sport. Here the Boulderhalle (bouldering wall) in Weissenbach is the right address. A number of guided hiking tours are also on offer in the Active Card Programme of the Nature Park Region of Reutte.
