A White Magical World – Winter Sport in the Nature Park Region of Reutte
A white snowy landscape, a brilliant blue sky, the first fine rays of the winter sun. Perfect conditions for a nice skiing day on the freshly prepared, from easy to difficult pistes of the 1,938 metre high Hahnenkamm mountain.
But in the valleys of the Nature Park Region of Reutte too the winter sports enthusiast can enjoy the magic of the white winter world. On 120 kilometres of well-prepared cross-country tracks (‘Loipen‘) the circuits can be combined in a manner of ways depending on the condition and aptitude of the skier. And should you run out of puff, you can travel back by bus, as with your Active Card you can use the buses of the region free of charge.
For those devoted to hiking there are numerous winter hiking trails in the Nature Park Region of Reutte, which go round lakes and along the partly frozen streams, through the snow-covered forests and which lead to huts where food and drink are served. Torch-lit guided tours offer a further real adventure. Should you wish not only to walk up the snowy slopes but ski down them, there are special ski tour evenings for ski tourers.
